What is FORS?
“Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme”
FORS is a voluntary scheme. It has three levels of accreditation. Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Above all FORS is fast becoming the logistics standard bench marking tool. Relative to Safety, Efficiency and Fleet Compliance. It is rapidly gaining in popularity throughout the UK. In addition customers are increasingly demanding preferred Logistics partners have the FORS standard accreditation.
Certified FORS Auditors
As certified Auditors we know exactly what you need. The new Version 5 Standard came into effect in January 2019.
Lorries, vans, buses, coaches, fleet cars, motorcycles and scooters are all covered by FORS. However, LGV’s are the main focus.
FORS Bronze Status
To achieve Bronze status, an operator must be legally compliant. Also able to demonstrate that they follow good practice across all areas of their business. FORS Silver Status
We are receiving more and more enquiries from operators who are deciding to upgrade from Bronze to Silver.
The benefits can be significant, as more and more companies, local authorities and public agencies insist that operators meet the more stringent criteria to satisfy the higher Standard. Often, contracts are only awarded to companies who have achieved the Silver or Gold Accreditation.
